Painfully Astute

I fucking hate that when I search OCD tags in Tumblr every post relates to cleanliness and organization. Way to make light and be ignorant of a very serious disorder. This term “OCD” is used so loosely that it diminishes the gravity of this often incapacitating disorder.

There are so many misconceptions about OCD because of the way it is portrayed in the media. Everyone thinks people with OCD are extremely neat and organized.

Quite the contrary because everyone who has seen my bedroom knows I am the antithesis of a cleanly person. 

I can’t stop knocking. I can’t stop thinking I have no control over my life.
